About Us
ReUnite Ministries is a non-profit, Christian-based resource, education, and residential counseling center dedicated to redeeming mothers and reuniting them with children they’ve lost to court-ordered kinship or foster care.
Our program is multifaceted. We provide:
- Weekday parenting classes and supervised visits.
- Assistance locating rehabilitation and other services.
- Residential living for mothers who are clean but need comprehensive support, individualized counseling, and training to ensure the successful reunification of their families.
ReUnite is unique. We are among the few to focus exclusively on helping women become the mothers God intended them to be. By helping mothers overcome their issues through education and counseling, ReUnite is ultimately reclaiming families and alleviating an inundated foster care system. We are ending destructive behaviors that all too often pass from one generation to another.
Mission Statement
ReUnite Ministries is a Christian-based resource, education, and residential counseling center created to redeem mothers, reunite children, reclaim families and restore communities for the glory of God.
In 2018, with support from Revolution Church in Maryville, Tennessee, ReUnite acquired a former nursing home facility near Louisville, Tennessee. Our sole purpose is to create a spiritual refuge, a place of learning and healing for mothers committed to regaining custody of their children.
While the region we serve offers many successful, well-respected rehabilitation centers, few facilities, if any, cater to mothers wanting to reunite with their families. To that end, we offer classes, visitation services, assistance finding appropriate rehabilitation services, and a residential program for those who qualify.
The Need
In Blount County, Tennessee — where we operate our center— the foster-care program is overwhelmed. Too few families are approved to care for the hundreds of children removed from their parents’ custody. An uncounted number live with family members.
By helping mothers overcome the addictions and cycles of dysfunction that prevented them from being good parents, ReUnite is ultimately reclaiming families and alleviating an inundated foster-care system. We are ending destructive behaviors that all too often pass from one generation to another.
Whom We Serve
ReUnite Ministries serves mothers and families in East Tennessee. To learn more about our classes and visitation services, call 865-984-9200, ext. 1020. To apply for our residential program, mothers must be clean — if they lost custody due to drug and alcohol abuse.
Residential Program Requirements:
Because it can take months to break self-destructive behaviors, we require that residents commit to a multi-month stay at the ReUnite home. Other requirements include:
- No violent criminal charge or conviction.
- Pass a drug and alcohol screen on the day of admission. (ReUnite administers subsequent screens throughout the program.)
- Not pregnant.
- Weekly church attendance and participation in Celebrate Recovery and other 12-step programs.
