Counseling Model and Classes
ReUnite employs “Choices That Bring Change” through the “7 Keys to Freedom” study created by Nashville, Tennessee-based Mercy Multiplied. This model combines biblical principles of healing and unconditional love to address the needs of mothers, children and the extended family. The Director of Counseling oversees the counseling program, ensuring each family receives appropriate clinical, trauma-informed care with a licensed counselor and/or master-level intern.
In addition to Bible studies, ReUnite offers life-skills training. Classes include:
- Health & Fitness
- Home Management
- Cooking/Meal Planning
- First Aid/CPR
- Work Readiness
- General Auto Care
Family Mentoring Program
The reunification process can be daunting, as can the transformation of lives. ReUnite’s Family Mentor Program is key to our mothers’ success. It pairs mothers with caring and accountable mentors, who support these women while they complete the program and after they graduate. When life gets hard, our mothers are uplifted through wise counsel from people they’ve grown to trust and love.
As with all ReUnite staff and volunteers, family mentors must apply to participate in the program and undergo comprehensive background checks and training. They must be committed to helping mothers become the mothers God intended them to be.
